The Garden, the Chickens, and the Ducks

The South is a very unique place. What works fine in a Northern garden will lead to disappointment down here, while we can grow crops that our Northern friends can only dream about. When it comes to chickens and ducks, much of the available literature discusses things like cold protection while ignoring ways to deal with the hot weather. I have lost a number of chickens to the heat, but none to the cold.
